Should I be concerned about this behavior change in my son?

My son is 21 months. In the last week or so, I've noticed him acting a little strange sometimes. Up until that time he always seemed very interested in interacting and conversing with people he knows. (Conversing in a broad sense of the word.) But lately, there are times where he's not interested in it. It's like he's in his own little world and doesn't even notice someone trying to get his attention. I don't think it's his hearing because it's not this way all the time.

This is my first child so I was wanting to know if this might be a normal stage at this age. Is it something that needs immediate medical attention? If not, how long should I wait? At this point, I'm only somewhat worried because, like I said it's not all the time. Thanks for your answers.Should I be concerned about this behavior change in my son?
No he is just coming into his own. Ever heard of the terrible twos. Brace yourself for it because it sounds like the begining stages for it.Should I be concerned about this behavior change in my son?
it is normal. This is the age where they are starting to discover them selves. You would be surprised what is going on in that little mind.Should I be concerned about this behavior change in my son?

Is h meeting all the other developmental milestones for his age? (you can look up milestones by month on the internet). If he is not, contact your pediatrcian. he may have a developmental delay. Best wishes!
