How do i change the behavior of the firefox 2.0+ location bar to stop escaping spaces into +'s?

In firefox 1.5 and lower, any non url passed to the location bar is appended directly to the end of the url specificed in keyword.url in the config. new behavior in firefox turns every space into a +. because i change my keyword.url to wikipedia, any time i type in more than one word wikipedia returns a not found error because firefox has introduced +'s i did not type instead of passing the spaces directly to wikipedia, which would normal exscape the spaces to underscores. Is there any way to change this behavior?How do i change the behavior of the firefox 2.0+ location bar to stop escaping spaces into +%26039;s?
