How would the behavior of isopods change if...?

If you suddenly turned a rock over and found isopods under it, what would you expect them to be doing? If you watched the isopods for a few minutes, how would you expect to see their behavior change?

How do isopods locate appropriate environments? How would the behavior of isopods change if...?
Most of them hunker down or curl up.

Some of them run for cover.

After a few minutes, the ones that hunkered down or curled up will unhunker and uncurl and go run for cover.

Their heads are well-equipped with sensory organs: eyes, antenna. They can see where the shade is, and move toward it. They know what moist food feels and smells and tastes like.
