=) you are doing a great thing by sterilizing him.

The benefits is that he wont be spraying your house with his pee, marking his territory all the time. He will probably less aggressive, and you will help keep the pet population down.Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
mine didn't change much, they still play with each other. they don't play as rough with each other, but sometimes the fur still flies.Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
The side effects are he won't be pissing on your stuff when he matures, other than that he will be a little slow for a few days.Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
He will not spray, he wont populate the earth with more cats, he will be less aggressive and calmer. Dont know if the vet who performs the neutering will put in dissolveable stitches or if you will return to the vet to have stitches removed but your cat will simply be a little more subdued for a couple days but they bounce back pretty quickly. If your cat bothers his stitches (some do) you will have to get on of those plastic collars from your vet that will keep him from licking them. It is a quick procedure for male cats and your cat should return to normal within a few days. Also, take a moment to talk with your vet about your concerns and he can tell you exactly what to expect and give you specific instruction. Also, please be sure to get your cat the necessary vaccinations that he needs. Keep your cat indoors. Stray cats outdoors carry feline leukemia and feline aids among other diseases that they can pass on to other cats through scratching and biting. Outdoor cats tend to get into fights with other cats, they kill the local birds and wildlife, and they can get hit by cars, and also they can wander off. Better to keep it indoors where it is safe and cared for by you.Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
There are virtually no good reasons not to spay and neuter your cat. As long as this kitty isn't too young (there are studies that indicate that very early neutering can make a male cat prone to having urinary tract problems due to the stunting of the growth of the penis and urethra), neutering the cat is essential. Unneutered males will spray their terriroty with unbelieveably strong scented urine, roam and make serious efforts to escape the indoors in search of a mate, and are very prone to fighting. Your cat should be neutered at about 6 months of age, and PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ADEQUATELY VACCINATE YOUR CAT!!! Discuss your kitty's needs with your vet; many deadly diseases are very easily prevented with the proper vaccination protocol. Have a good time with your new friend!Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
No, most of the time their behavior won't change. I have never had one that did. They will still have the exact same little kitty personality as before. Except they won't be peeing everywhere to mark their territory. He will still be and act like a good ole Tom Cat! Good Luck!Does cat behavior change after sterilizing it?
Yes it does!! I have a female cat. She had to have emergency surgery. She gained about 10 pounds after her surgery and she got lazy. She love to cuddle now and sleep on the bed or in my lap. She plays a lot just not when anyone is there.
