so you're pretty good, among your own types. you can talk a good game, among others who share your beliefs and status. you're a confident cat, preaching to the choir, until you step outside. now the tables have turned, and you're in the minority. your opinion is not shared by most, if any other people. odd duck out... so what do you do differently, if anything...?How does your behavior change if you find that you%26039;re now in the minority?
Well, the way you describe how it %26quot;feels%26quot; to be in your own group, confident cat %26amp; so on, I suspect that sort of person would have difficulty being in the minority. But that isn't true of everyone. I don't need my opinion to be %26quot;shared.%26quot; In fact, it's possible to get some good insights, new perspectives, from people who don't share my beliefs. If everyone agrees, there's not much, if anything, to learn--is there? Been there, did that. US Air Force--people from all walks of life, equal opportunity employer all the way. Suddenly found myself switched into the minority but quick, in numerous assignments. I suppose I'm richer for it, but the experience was not fun! Didn't feel I could speak my mind, stayed quiet a lot. Felt I'd be slammed or killed if I complained of treatment received. Felt alone, isolated. No self esteem. Felt that only God was there for me, a lot. And good fortune to have God! How many, in that position, without God, suicide? A lot I think. I understand a lot more about a lot of people now. The isolation, the grief, the anger, the suicides, the horror of prejudice, racism, abuse, intolerance...How does your behavior change if you find that you%26039;re now in the minority?

Try to learn from the situation and try to make the best of it. I don't think any of us really know everything about anything. I have been in the minority many timesi n my life. I have never found a need for behavior change. I find that people are people. we all have different views, some of which are shared by others. I have never divided people into groups - to me their is no minority or majority we are all humans and should be treated the same when it comes to ethnic backgrounds I am blind.
